Hey! Today I am sharing with you my latest creation. So..., I just started crocheting. I was looking for a new hobby to try, and was thinking about how I would love to make Christmas gifts this year instead of buying a potentially unwanted gift. I have never crocheted in my life, but there I was, drawn into the world of crocheters through Pinterest.
I ended up on many websites looking at written patterns and thought "Oh no!" am I reading another language? I just didn't understand any of it. I gradually found my way to you tube and searched phrases like "What is sc (single crochet), or hdc (half double crochet)?," and finding tutorials that will take you step by step.
I did a lot of stopping and rewinding and practicing, but I soon realized how easy and fun it was to see a simple piece of yarn turn into a hat or scarf. Would you like me to show you how? Comment below if you would like me to make a post on how to crochet.
So here is my latest. I used the pattern from Wilmade.com, its called the lovely heart bun hat. I made the first one from the pattern exactly and then the second I changed up just a little. They both can be worn with or without the pom pom just by adding a button. I also made the pom pom from the yarn. Want me to show you how?
The grey color is Red Heart Super Saver in soft, grey heather and the white is I Love This Yarn in white from Hobby Lobby. It is going to be for my daughter, but I couldn't decide which one she might like best. Right now she is away at college. Help me decide, comment down below which one you like better.
